Demographics/Purchasing Power

How often have you heard the massive disability market referred to as an “incredible untapped market?” Now, how many companies have demonstrated a legitimate ability to “tap that untapped market?” As far as I know; not many, if there are any at all. The references to this market are actually steeped in fact. The disability market is massive. At 56 million + members, this group of people represents the largest minority demographic in the United States. They purchase products and services just like the rest of the general population; in fact, estimates place the disability market’s value around $3 trillion.[i] This valuable market includes those individuals with disabilities and their families, friends, and associates; many of whom go out of their way to support their disabled counterparts. In addition, once engaged and once their value is appreciated, this market remains extremely loyal and provides a lasting customer base.

So why is nothing happening? Why has a saddle not been thrown on this three trillion dollar stallion? Why isn’t anything happening naturally? The answer is right in front of us; we see examples every day.  Click "Read More" Below.
